How do safety harnesses work?

Answer:
Safety harnesses work by distributing the forces generated during a fall across the wearer's body. When properly fitted and connected to an anchorage point, the harness forms a secure attachment between the wearer and a solid structure. If a fall occurs, the harness transfers the force of the fall to the body, spreading it across the torso, shoulders, and thighs. This helps minimize the risk of injury and prevents the wearer from hitting the ground or lower levels.
